The Nichols College women's basketball team was defeated by Connecticut College 63-30 Monday night in non-conference action at Luce Field House.
 
Senior Mekaela Fithian-Giantonio paced the Bison (3-6) with six points while sophomore Isabella Nerney had five points. Junior Ciarri Formby-Lavertu and sophomore Shannon St. Lawrence each scored four points.
 
Senior Carolina Pangallo led the Camels (9-2) with 13 points. Classmate Meggie Corcoran chipped in with 12 points while junior Sami Ashton filled the stat sheet with seven points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -The Camels outrebounded the Bison 40-28 and turned 19 turnovers into 20 points.
            -Senior Rebecca Clearly led Nichols in rebounds with five.
            -Connecticut College outscored the Bison 31-13 in the first half – including 15-3 in the second quarter.
