The Nichols College men's ice hockey team lost to No. 8 Salve Regina 3-2 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday night in Newport, Rhode Island.
Nichols (6-4-0, 5-2-0 CCC) received goals from junior
Hogan Davidson and freshman
Petr Miko in the loss to the Seahawks (8-1-1, 6-1-1 CCC). The Bison had a 2-1 lead after two periods of play before the Seahawks potted two power-play goals in the span of three minutes to take the lead from the Bison in the third period.
Freshman
Justin Perron recorded two assists while sophomores
Evan Nyhus and
Filip Virgili each chipped in with an assist. Nichols outshot Salve 30-26 despite the loss.
