Jessica Larsh recorded a double-double notching 12 points and 10 boards as the Nichols women's basketball team defeated Anna Maria 62-57 in non-conference action Monday night at the Nichols Athletics Center.
The Bison (2-3) had a lead as big as 10 points at the beginning of the 2nd quarter before the AMCats (0-8) outscored the Bison 19-14 and went into the half with the 29-28 lead. Sierra Johnson led the way for Anna Maria in the first half with six points. The Bison were led by senior
Mekaela Fithian-Giantonio who dropped in 10 points in the first half, she finished the game with a season high 16 points.
The game remained close until the closing minutes of the 4th quarter when sophomore
Isabella Nerney hit two big three pointers to give the Bison the lead and close out the game. Nerney finished 5-10 from behind the arc while raking in 15 points and five rebounds.
