Sophomore
Mel McAleer tallied five points on five assists as the Nichols College women's hockey team defeated King's College 7-1 in non-conference action Friday night at Levy Rink.
Nichols (6-2-1) got on the board three times in the first period with a goal from senior
Kelly Ferreira and two goals from freshman
Katelyn Joyal. Joyals first goal at the 10:57 marker gave the Bison the 2-0 advantage and was also her first collegiate goal. The Monarchs (1-8-0) scored a power play goal late in the second period when sophomore Gracen Mahoney potted her third goal of the season.
The third period brought four more goals for the Bison including three on the power play. The flurry of goals came from freshman
Alicia Hunks, senior
Mikayla Castro, and two goals from sophomore
McKenna Gernander. Hunks goal was also her first collegiate goal.

-The Bison outshot the Monarchs 62-7.
