The Nichols College women's basketball program lost to WPI 54-25 in non-conference action Tuesday night in Worcester, Mass.
The Bison (1-3) were led by junior
Jessica Larsh who recorded eight points including two three-pointers made and three rebounds. The Engineers (4-1) went into halftime with a 27-16 lead as the Bison tried to cut into the deficit.
In the second half senior
Mekaela Fithian-Giantonio scored five of the Bisons nine points, while also collecting three rebounds. She would finish the game with five points and four boards. The Engineers pulled away in the fourth quarter with a 17-point effort as they collected their fourth win of the season.

-WPI senior Alyssa Paul led all shooters with 12 points.
-Despite the loss, the Bison held the Engineers to 35% shooting from the field.
-Tonight's game marked the 31st all-time meeting between the two programs.
