Bison explode late take down Hawks

Recap
Junior Vincent Crivello notched four points with two goals and two assists as the Nichols College men's ice hockey program defeated Becker College 6-3 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Levy Rink.

The Bison (5-1-0, 5-1-0 CCC) and the Hawks (0-7-1, 0-5-1 CCC) traded goals three times in the second period with Bison goals from Crivello, freshman Curtis Carlson, and junior Nicholas Mangone. Carlsons goal came on the power play with assists from junior J.B. Baker and Crivello. Mangones potted a shorthanded goal to tie the game at three apiece on a breakaway and help from junior Hogan Davidson and freshman Lucas Andersson.

The third period brought another three goals for the Bison as Mangone potted his second of the game along with Crivello. Freshman Petr Miko potted his fourth goal of the season with assists from junior Luke Andracki and Crivello, as the Bison shutout the Hawks in the third period.
 
Three things you need to know…
- The Bison have now won three-straight against the Hawks and extended their lead in the all-time series to 20-10-2. NC is 8-1-1 in its last 10 matchups with their Worcester-area rivals.
-Crivello is the first Bison this year to reach double-digits in points (12).
-Sophomore Henry Burns improves to 3-0-0 on the season.
