The Nichols College women's volleyball team was defeated by Roger Williams University 3-0 Wednesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Athletic Center. The Hawks took game one 25-6, game two 25-15, and game three 25-9.
 
Freshman Jayleen Fegan and senior Sabrina Boermeester each picked up three kills for the Bison (4-11, 0-4 CCC) while senior Zoe Chevrette and junior Megan Gardner each collected five digs.
 
Junior Lana Lolacono paced the Hawks (10-8, 2-1 CCC) with seven kills. Freshman Katherine Pickard registered six kills while junior Grace Kenningham notched six digs, four service aces, and two kills.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -The Hawks posted an .800 hitting percentage in the first game and finished the match at .458.
            -Fegan recorded a pair of service aces in the match.
            -Roger Williams compiled assists on 88 percent of their kills (28-of-32) and had eight block assists.
