Juniors Maggie Noelk and MacKenzie McDonald each recorded a defensive save in Nichols College's 1-0 overtime loss at the University of New England Tuesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) field hockey action at the Big Blue Turf.
 
Marge Gardiner scored the only goal of the contest at 80:00 of overtime, dropping the Bison to 7-7 on the season (3-6 CCC). Junior goalie Brooke Misbach recorded eight saves for the Bison, who were outshot 21-4 – including 12-1 in the opening 35:00.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Misbach's .780 save percentage is No. 2 in the CCC, just .002 behind Taylor Farrin (Endicott). Her goals against average of 1.97 is also second only to Farrin (1.62).
            -The Nor'easters (9-7, 8-1 CCC) held an 11-6 edge in penalty corners.
            -Sophomore Lizz McKinnon led the Bison with two shots.
