Junior Megan Gardner picked up five kills in Nichols College's 3-0 loss to Wentworth Saturday morning in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's volleyball action at Tansey Gymnasium.
 
Freshman Jayleen Fegan added four kills and 11 digs for the Bison (4-16), who lost games one and two by identical 25-11 scores before dropping the third set 25-16. Senior Zoe Chevrette returned from injury and dished out 13 assists.
 
The Leopards were led by Mary Zlotosch and Samantha Lassitt with eight kills apiece.
 
Three things you need to know...
                -Seniors Moriah Burns and Sabrian Boermeester, along with sophomore Samantha Callejo, each had two kills for Nichols.
                -Wentworth compiled 13 service aces, led by Jade Iadarola with four.
                -Makenna Salsbury notched a block solo and a block assist for WIT.
