Sophomore 
Lizz McKinnon collected her second hat trick in a week to propel the Nichols College field hockey team to a 3-0 win over Simmons University Saturday morning in non-conference action at Vendetti Field.
 
Junior 
Brooke Misbach stopped all six shots she faced to earn her second shutout of the season and give the Bison (7-6) their third win in four games. The home team held a 13-10 edge in shots and a 9-6 advantage in penalty corners.
 
McKinnon's first goal came off a feed from sophomore 
Carlee Tolley at 6:18. Her second goal came at 30:24 and was assisted by junior 
Erin Kelley. She completed the hat trick when she polished off a pass from freshman 
Mackenzie Snow at 49:24.
 
McKinnon netted three goals in last Saturday's contest with Salve Regina.
 
Three things you need to know...
-Sophomore 
Lauryn White was credited with a defensive save for the Bison in the first half. She has two on the season, which is tied for the team lead with junior 
MacKenzie McDonald.
-McKinnon is tied for third in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) with 14 goals.
-Sophomore Lucy McNamara made eight saves for the Sharks (4-10).
