Mel McAleer scored her seventh goal of the season on Tuesday for the Nichols College women's ice hockey team, which dropped a 3-1 decision to Wesleyan (CT) University Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Levy Rink.

Cassandra Goyette made 32 saves between the pipes for the Bison, who were outshot 35-30.
Senior Cici Frattasio, junior Kendall Carr, and freshman Sarah Takahashi each scored for the Cardinals, who went 1-for-4 with the extra attacker. Sophomore Allegra Grant recorded 29 saves – including 11 in the third period – to earn the win.

This afternoon's contest marked the 10th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Wesleyan (CT) University. The Cardinals now lead the series, 8-1-1.
