BEVERLY, Mass. – Sophomore Vincent Crivello scored his eighth goal of the season for the Nichols College men's ice hockey team, which suffered a 7-1 setback to No. 2 Endicott College Saturday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
 
Senior captain Scott Cuthrell played in his 100th collegiate game and while sophomore J.B. Baker and freshman Oliver Arnberg were credited with assists on Crivello's goal. With the loss, the Bison saw their four-game winning streak come to an end. Senior netminder Colin Brennan made 17 saves before being lifted in favor of freshman Henry Burns.
 
The Gulls outshot the Bison 40-24 and, after carrying a 1-0 lead into the second period, struck for three goals in the opening 6:09 of the middle stanza to open up a 4-0 lead. Crivello's marker at 18:10 of the second made it 4-1 after two periods of play before the Gulls added three more in the third.
 
Each team finished the night 0-for-7 on the power play.
 
All-Time Series
This evening's contest marked the fifth all-time meeting between Endicott College and Nichols College. The teams have split the season series in each of the first three years of varsity competition for the Gulls, and it now stands at 3-3-0.
