NASHUA, N.H. – The Nichols College women's soccer team defeated Rivier 2-1 in non-conference action Sunday evening at Raider Field.

The win gives the Bison their first 2-0 start to a season since the 2010 campaign that saw the team win eight of its first nine games.

Seniors
Taylor Souza (New Bedford, Mass.) and
Ashley Cibotti (Norton, Mass.) both scored to lead Nichols – each scoring for the second-consecutive game.

The Raiders outshot the Bison 10-6 for the game as junior
Brooke Downey (Middleboro, Mass.) stopped six shots in the win. Sophomore Kasey Smith (Hopkinton, N.H.) made two saves in the loss.

The Bison improve to 2-0-2 all-time against the Raiders with their first win in the series since 1994.
