DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's volleyball team was defeated by Plymouth State University 3-0 Wednesday night in non-conference women's volleyball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.
The Panthers won game one 25-7, game two 25-13, and game three 25-15.
Sophomore
Jayla Simmons (Rockledge, Fla.) led the Bison with 12 digs. Classmate
J'ena Baker (Rockledge, Fla.) tallied five kills and four digs while sophomore
Megan Gardner (South Deerfield, Mass.) collected three kills and a pair of blocks.
Sophomore Alexis Bowers (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) led all student-athletes with seven kills for the Panthers. Freshman Elizabeth McLaughlin (Melvin Village, N.H.) registered six kills, Bowers and senior Brenna Peruch (Cave Creek, Ariz.) picked up nine digs apiece, and senior Megan Bailey (Canterbury, N.H.) handed out 19 assists.
All-Time Series
Today's match marked the second all-time meeting between Nichols College and Coast Guard. The Panthers lead the series, 2-0.
