DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of visiting Becker College on a rainy Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at Vendetti Field in Dudley, Mass.
 
Becker junior forward Lindsey Keith (Sutton, Mass.) netted both goals for the Hawks, one coming in each half. Classmate Ciara McKissick (Charlton, Mass.) picked up an assist on the first goal, while senior Meghan Bealka (Freetown, Mass.) added an assist on Keith's second of the game.
 
The Bison held a 19-15 edge in shots in the game, while the Hawks attempted three corner kicks to just two for the home team.
 
Senior Ashley Cibotti (Norton, Mass.) led the Nichols attack with nine shots in the game, including five on goal. Senior Taylor Souza (New Bedford, Mass.) added four shots and senior Danielle Barry (Springfield, Mass.) posted three shots of her own.
 
Junior goalie Brooke Downey (Middleboro, Mass.) stopped five shots in the setback, with Becker's Jordyn Martel (Chicopee, mass.) also making five saves in her fourth win of the season.

Today marked the 13th meeting in the series between Nichols and Becker, and the Bison are 10-2-1 against the Hawks dating back to 1998. Becker has won two-straight in the matchup including last season's 2-1 win in Leicester, Mass.
