DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College field hockey program was defeated by Western New England University 4-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday afternoon at Vendetti Field.
Sophomore
Brooke Misbach (Guilford, Conn.) made eight saves for the Bison while classmate
Maggie Noelk (Georgetown, Mass.) recorded a defensive save. Nichols was outshot 23-6.
Senior Brittany DeLima (Branchville, N.J.) picked up a hat trick, scoring once in the first half and twice in the second half, giving her six goals on the season. She was also credited with an assist on freshman Haley Daigneault's (Longmeadow, Mass.) second collegiate goal.
All-Time Series
This afternoon's contest marked the 45th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Western New England University. The Bison continue to lead the series, 24-18-3, but have dropped the last seven meetings.
