HENNIKER, N.H. – The Nichols College volleyball team was defeated by New England College and Elms College Saturday in non-conference action at Bridges Gymnasium.

New England Col. 3, Nichols 1 (25-21, 25-20, 25-23, 25-23)
Sophomore
J'ena Baker (Rockledge, Fla.) led the Bison with 22 kills and 19 digs. Classmate
Jayla Simmons (Rockledge, Fla.) notched 17 digs, freshman
Haley Pichard (Hingham, Mass.) dished out 30 assists, and junior
Moriah Burns (Holland, Mass.) tallied six kills, five digs, and a pair of service aces.

Elms 3, Nichols 0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-15)
Baker tallied a team-high 12 kills and also collected 11 digs. Simmons registered 11 digs, Pichard added four kills, 11 assists, and four digs, and sophomore
Lexxus Andrews (Uxbridge, Mass.) picked up seven digs, two assists, and two service aces.

This morning's match was the first-ever meeting between New England College and Nichols College. The Bison now trail the series, 1-0.
