Brooke Downey (Middleboro, Mass.) recorded 12 saves in Nichols College's 2-1 overtime loss to Wentworth Saturday morning in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's soccer action at the Nichols Soccer Field.

Alana Rodrigues (Southbridge, Mass.) scored her second goal of the season for the Bison, who played the defending conference champs to a draw for 90 minutes. Senior
Deandra Flynn (Pawtucket, R.I.) set up the NC goal at 39:54 as her cross found the foot of Rodrigues for the marker.
Senior Ali Leach (Stowe, Vt.) tied the match at one with her second goal of the season at 60:49 before senior Emily Richard (Fremont, N.H.) won it off a pass from Leach with 1:16 left in the first overtime. The goal was created off a turnover by the Bison in their defensive zone.
Wentworth outshot the Bison 29-8. Junior Christine Fleming (Braintree, Mass.) made four saves to earn the win.

Today's match marked the 22nd all-time meeting between Wentworth and Nichols College. The Leopards now lead the series, 13-7-2, and have won the last six meetings – three of which have gone to overtime.
