BRISTOL, R.I. – Sophomores Amarie Settiwongse (Bangkok, Thailand) and Isabelle Leonardi (North Hampton, N.H.) each recorded a win in singles and doubles to lift the Nichols College women's tennis team to a 6-3 win at Roger Williams Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action.
 
Settiwongse scored a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles while Leonardi won in straight sets at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-2. Earlier, the pair combined for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
 
Other winners included freshman Juliana Herrera (Villavicencio, Columbia) at No. 4 singles (7-6, 5-7, 10-8), classmate Rachel McDonald (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) at No. 5 singles (6-2, 6-1), and sophomores Danielle Mandel (Fair Lawn, N.J.) and Lindsey Kaplan (Boca Raton, Fla.) at No. 3 doubles (8-4).
 
All-Time Series
Today's match marked the 26th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Roger Williams University. The Hawks lead the series, 15-11, but the Bison have won four of the last five meetings.
