ÂDUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College men's lacrosse team defeated UMass Boston 14-7 in non-conference action Thursday afternoon at Vendetti Field.

Cole Fontana (Grafton, Mass.) and senior
Paul Tessier (Mirror Lake, N.H.) each potted four goals to go along with two assists and one assist, respectively. The Bison are off to their best start since the 1974 season in which the team started out 6-0 before dropping their first game.

Graduate student
Reece O'Connor (North Grafton, Mass.) scored a pair of goals while seniors
Kevin D'Angelo (Pelham, N.H.) and
Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and sophomore
Jack Campanale (Shrewsbury, Mass.) each had a goal and an assist.

The Beacons were led by Clay Arnold (Syracuse, N.Y.) with two goals while freshman Josh Holmes (Weymouth, Mass.) scored one and assisted on another.

The score was tied at four early in the second quarter before the Bison rallied off five goals unanswered to take the lead for good.

Junior
James Keane (Franklin, Mass.) earned his second win of the season after stopping 11 shots. Freshman Alex Surette (Melrose, Mass.) made six saves in the loss.

The Bison improve to 7-20 in the all-time series defeating the Beacons for only the second time since 1993.
