PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Junior
Colin Brennan (Chester, N.J.) made a career-high 42 saves to help the Nichols College men's ice hockey team earn a 1-1 tie with Salve Regina University Wednesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Portsmouth Abbey Ice Rink.
Freshman
Vincent Crivello (Rosemere, Quebec) scored his fifth goal of the season for the Bison, who were outshot 43-27 on the evening. Senior
Sean Swansen (Salem, N.H.) and junior
Chris Deming (Madison, Ala.) picked up assists on the goal, which came on the power play at 7:07 of the second period.
Junior James Malone (Beachwood, N.J.) potted his first goal of the season for the Seahawks to tie the contest at 11:28 of the second period. Sophomore Blake Wojtala (Trenton, Mich.) made 26 saves to move to 11-7-3.

Tonight's contest was the 36th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Salve Regina University. The Bison lead the series, 20-12-4, and are 4-0-2 in their last six regular-season contests against the Seahawks.
