HARRISVILLE, R.I. – Freshman
J.B. Baker (Columbia, Md.) collected four points as Nichols College rolled to a 9-2 victory over Suffolk University Wednesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Levy Rink.
Baker scored the game-winning goal and also dished out three assists for the Bison, who led 4-0 after one and pumped in five more goals in the second, giving them their highest scoring output since January 9, 2015, when they defeated Assumption. Nichols also potted nine goals against a conference rival for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign, when it defeated Suffolk 11-3 on January 18, 2012.
Junior
Scott Cuthrell (Waterford, Mich.) scored twice and recorded an assist, classmate
D.J. Goldstein (Canandaigua, N.Y.) netted his first collegiate goal, junior
Chris Deming (Madison, Ala.) notched three points (1-2-3), and freshman
Vincent Crivello (Rosemere, Quebec) picked up three assists.
A total of 12 different student-athletes registered at least one point for the Bison, including junior
Brien Thompson (Dallas, Texas) (1-1-2), junior
Cody Rodgers (Austin, Texas) (2 A), and sophomore
Ben Campbell (Duluth, Minn.) (2 A). Junior
Colin Brennan (Chester, N.J.) turned aside 23 shots to earn his 11th win of the season.
Nichols went 4-for-5 with the man advantage and held a 32-28 edge in shots. Sophomores Jackson Tucker (Matthews, N.C.) and Connor Parent (Danvers, Mass.) scored for the Rams.

Tonight's contest marked the 47th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Suffolk University.
The Bison moved to 4-1-2 in their last six contests against the Rams with tonight's win but still trail the series, 18-25-3.
