MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Nichols College women's ice hockey team fell 4-1 to Salve Regina in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action Friday evening at St. George's Ice Rink.

Laura Christie (Hudson, Mass.) scored her team-leading third goal while senior
Samantha DiReda (Shrewsbury, Mass.) assisted on her team-best fifth goal of the season as the Bison drop their final road contest of the year.

Sophomore Taylor Chisholm (Discovery Bay, Calif.) and senior Amanda Cronin (Medfield, Mass.) each scored a goal and assisted on another to pace the Seahawks.

The Seahawks held a 57-21 edge in shots – including 24-5 in the first period. DiReda led the Bison with four shots and junior Erica Bonnette-Lykens (Swanton, Vt.) – who also scored a goal – provided a game-high eight shots.

Sophomore
Cassandra Goyette (Norton, Mass.) stopped 53 shots in the game while sophomore Jennifer O'Connell (Marstons Mills, Mass.) made 20 saves in the win.

The Bison fall to 0-18-1 against the Seahawks in the all-time series with the lone tie coming back in 2012.
