WORCESTER, Mass. - The Nichols College men's ice hockey program was defeated by Becker College 2-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Thursday night at the Worcester Ice Arena.

Freshman Henry Burns got the start between the pipes for the Bison and made 27 saves. His counterpart for the Hawks, Cody Foster, stopped all 53 shots he faced to help his team move to 4-7-1 on the season (2-5-0 CCC). 

Nichols (5-4-2, 3-2-2 CCC) outshot the Bison 21-6 in the third but were unable to sneak one past Foster, who stopped senior captain Scott Cuthrell on a breakaway midway through the stanza.

Tonight's contest marked the 29th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Becker College. The Bison now lead the series, 17-10-2.
