BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Senior captain Scott Cuthrell notched a goal and an assist in Nichols College's 3-2 loss to Amherst College Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the Broome Ice Center.

Freshman Filip Virgili also scored for NC while juniors Matthew Menta and Ian Spencer, along with sophomore David Chevrier, collected assists for the Bison. Senior Colin Brennan got the start in goal and made 10 saves before being lifted in the second period in favor of freshman Henry Burns.

Today's game marked the 18th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Amherst College. The Mammoths lead the series, 16-2-0.
