WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The Nichols College women's volleyball team rallied back from a 0-2 deficit to defeat Penn St.-Abington 3-2 after a 3-0 loss to Eastern Conn. St. Saturday.

J'ena Baker (Rockledge, Fla.) led the Bison in both kills (10) and digs (22). Classmate
Jayla Simmons (Rockledge, Fla.) notched seven digs and three assists.
Nichols 3, Penn St.-Abington 2 (18-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-18)
The Bison snapped an 18-match losing skid with a win over the Nittany Lions. Baker collected 14 kills while sophomore
Lexxus Andrews (Uxbridge, Mass.) notched six and classmate
Megan Gardner (South Deerfield, Mass.) picked up four.
Defensively, Simmons racked up 25 digs to go along with 24 from Baker and 15 from junior
Zoe Chevrette (Wilbraham, Mass.). Chevrette also handed out 13 assists and recorded three service aces.
All-Time Series
Today's contest was the second all-time meeting between Nichols College and Eastern Connecticut State. The Warriors lead the series, 2-0.
The Bison and Penn St.-Abington met for the first time on Saturday. NC now leads the series, 1-0.
