DUDLEY, Mass. – The top-seeded Nichols College women's tennis team repeated as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Champions with a 5-1 victory over Endicott College on Saturday afternoon at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

The Bison captured their third CCC Championship in program history and have earned the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Tournament in the spring.

The Bison took a 3-0 lead following doubles play as senior
Alanna Judd (Westborough, Mass.) and sophomore
Lindsey Kaplan (Boca Raton, Fla.) posted an 8-4 win over junior Lauren Rahr (Waterford, Conn.) and junior Alexandra Barmore (Southington, Conn.) at No. 3 doubles. Sophomores
Amarie Settiwongse (Bangkok, Thailand) and
Isabelle Leonardi (North Hampton, N.H.) downed senior Maxine Bergstein (Hingham, Mass.) and freshman Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.) by a matching score at No. 1 doubles.

Megan Nathanson (Scarborough, Maine) and senior
Ashley Dallaire (East Bridgewater, Mass.) rounded out doubles play with an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles over juniors Hayley Barnett (Marlboro, N.J.) and Reilly Fitzgibbons (Killingworth, Conn.).

In singles play, Settiwongse battled back from an early deficit to defeat Hayley Barnett, 6-4, 6-0 and get the Bison one point closer to their second-straight championship.

The Gulls got one point back at No. 4 singles as Gillian Freter defeated
Isabelle Leonardi, 6-1, 6-2 to make it a 4-1 match.

Alanna Judd won her first set against Gretta Hartman, 6-2, and held a 5-2 lead before Hartman battled back with two-straight set wins to make it a 5-4 set. Judd was ahead 30-15 and hit a high ball that Hartman fired into the net and gave the Bison their second-straight CCC crown.

Saturday's match marked the 28th meeting between the two programs and the Bison have won four-straight in the series, including the last two CCC Championships.
