DUDLEY, Mass. – The top-seeded Nichols College women's tennis team advanced to its second-straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship match following a 5-1 win over No. 5-seed Eastern Nazarene College in the CCC Semifinals on Tuesday afternoon at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

The Bison will take on No. 2-seed Endicott College in a rematch of last year's CCC Championship match which the Bison won, 5-0. The Bison and Gulls will meet for the sixth time in the past seven season in the CCC final on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

Nichols jumped out to an early 2-1 lead following doubles play as senior
Alanna Judd (Westborough, Mass.) and sophomore
Lindsey Kaplan (Boca Raton, Fla.) cruised to an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles over senior Jordan Cressman (Bowmanstown, Pa.) and sophomore Veronica Jimenez (Lynn, Mass.). The sophomore duo of
Amarie Settiwongse (Bangkok, Thailand) and
Isabelle Leonardi (North Hampton, N.H.) followed with an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles over freshman Emily Ruttkowski (Castrop-Rauxel, Germany) and junior Adele Duval (Redding, Calif.) to give the Bison a 2-0 lead in the match.

ENC got on the board at No. 2 doubles as sophomore Sharon Biondi (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) and senior Lindsey Steelman (Darlington, Md.) registered an 8-5 win over sophomore
Megan Nathanson (Scarborough, Maine) and senior
Ashley Dallaire (East Bridgewater, Mass.).

In singles play,
Alanna Judd made quick work of Emily Ruttkowski at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win to put the Bison ahead 3-1 in the match. Freshman
Juliana Herrera (Villavicencio, Columbia) made it a 4-1 lead for Nichols with her 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles over Jordan Cressman.

Megan Nathanson clinched the deciding point for the Bison with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Adele Duval at No. 3 singles to propel the Bison to their seventh CCC Championship match appearance in program history.

Today marked the 23rd meeting between the two programs, and first ever in the CCC Tournament. The Bison improved to 21-2 all-time against the Lions in a series dating back to 1995.
