Michael Parnell (Roseville, Minn.) scored the game-winning goal for the Nichols College men's ice hockey team, which defeated Curry College 4-1 Thursday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Max Ulin Rink.

Matthew Menta (Rome, Pa.) added a power-play marker in the first period and junior netminder
Colin Brennan (Chester, N.J.) turned aside 20 shots to earn his ninth win of the season. Senior Jake Heisinger (Winnipeg, Manitoba) scored for the Colonels, who outshot the Bison 21-20.

Menta's PP goal at 16:25 of the first off a pass from junior
Cody Rodgers (Austin, Texas) put the visitors up 1-0. Junior
Scott Cuthrell (Watertown, Mich.) won the face-off back to Rodgers and collected his first of two assist on the night. Less than two minutes later, Parnell's third goal of the season from sophomore
T.J. Roche (Northport, N.Y.) and Cuthrell doubled the lead.

Heisinger scored early in the second to make it a 2-1 game before Swansen's sixth of the campaign at 10:36 helped the Bison regain a two-goal cushion. Freshman
Ryan Hunter (Missisauga, Ontario) and sophomore
Blake Kelley (Woodbury, Minn.) were credited with the assists on the goal.

Tonight's contest marks the 73rd all-time meeting between Nichols College and Curry College. With the win, the Bison ran their win streak over the Colonels to nine but still trail the series, 44-27-2.
