SALEM, Mass. – The Nichols College volleyball team was defeated by Salem State University 3-0 Tuesday night in non-conference action.
 
Freshman J'ena Baker (Rockledge, Fla.) led all student-athletes with nine kills as the Bison dropped game one 25-16, game two 25-20, and game three 26-24. Sophomore Sabrina Boermeester (Billerica, Mass.) registered seven kills while freshman Jayla Simmons (Rockledge, Fla.) posted a team-high nine digs and sophomore Moriah Burns (Holland, Mass.) picked up 17 assists.
 
Sophomore Jasmine Severino (Lawrence, Mass.) and freshman Sara Corey (Whately, Mass.) each recorded five kills to pace the Vikings. Sophomore Mackenzie Salls (Turners Falls, Mass.) collected 12 assists.
