Today's contest marked the 17th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Endicott College. With the win, the Gulls improved to 17-0 all-time against the Bison.
 
Quick Synopsis
Nichols senior Anthony Verville (Portland, Maine) scored two goals in Nichols College's 15-5 loss to Endicott College Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Vendetti Field.
 
Endicott senior goalie Cameron Bell (Falmouth, Maine) made five saves to become Endicott College's all-time wins leader with 49. Junior Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.) scored a game-high six goals and now has 61 on the season. Junior Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.) collected seven points on a goal and six assists.
 
Nichols junior Paul Tessier (Mirror Lake, N.H.) racked up a goal and two assists for the Bison, who were outshot35-24.
 
The Gulls outscored the Bison 9-1 in the second and third periods to take a 12-2 lead to the fourth, where Jennings and Verville each scored a pair. Jennings also scored three times in the second stanza.
 
Inside the Game
-Nichols was 13-of-23 on face-offs as junior Beau LaFlamme (Bourne, Mass.) was 13-of-22 (59 percent).
-Endicott held a slim 32-28 edge in ground balls.
 
On the Bison
-Sophomore MacKenzie Martin (Merrimack, N.H.) and freshman Brayden Carroll (Shrewsbury, Mass.) each found the back of the net.
-LaFlamme and classmate Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and each collected a game-high six ground balls.
 
About the Opponent
-Graduate student Matthew Holzinger (Fairfield, Conn.) notched a game-high three caused turnovers.
-Endicott went 16-for-21 in transition. The Gulls have recorded 15 or more successful clears in six games this season.
-The Gulls won the ground balls matchup, 32-28, led by Holzinger and junior Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.) with three apiece.
