Today's contest marks the 30th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Curry College. With the win, the Colonels move to 19-11 all-time against the Bison and have won three-straight.
 
Quick Synopsis
Junior Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) scored three goals in Nichols College's 17-10 loss at Curry College Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's lacrosse action at Walter M. Katz Field.
 
Senior Anthony Verville (Portland, Maine) added a pair of goals for the Bison while four other student-athletes – senior Brian Hancock (Groton, Mass.), junior Paul Tessier (Mirror Lake, N.H.), and sophomores MacKenzie Martin (Merrimack, N.H.) and Jack Zaremski (Dorchester, Mass.) – each recorded a goal and an assist.
 
Sophomore Matt Serra (Haverhill, Mass.) potted a game-high eight goals for the Colonels, who also saw freshman MJ Urbano (Wakefield, Mass.) collect six points (4-2-6).
 
Inside the Game
-Curry led 11-5 at halftime and 12-5 going to the fourth before the Bison scored four times in the final 15 minutes.
-The Colonels outshot the Bison 39-20 and won 22 of 31 face-offs (71 percent).
 
On the Bison
-Senior Darby Geno (White River Junction, Vt.) picked up a team-high three ground balls.
-Verville led Nichols with 11 shots.
-Sophomore James Keane (Franklin, Mass.) played the second half in goal and recorded 14 saves.
 
About the Opponent
-Junior Jack McMenomey (West Lynn, Ore.) racked up four points on a goal and three assists.
-Sophomore Steven Grogan (Sandwich, Mass.) picked up a game-high 17 ground balls.
-Junior Shane O'Brien (East Falmouth, Mass.) made 10 saves to earn the win in goal.
