Brayden Carroll (Shrewsbury, Mass.), each scored twice as the Bison (1-1) earned their first win of the season. Freshman Zachary Bryant (Saco, Maine) netted three goals for the AMCats.
Inside the Game-Nichols held a 54-19 edge in shots, 39 of which found the net.
-The Bison were a perfect 14-of-14 on clearing attempts, compared to 14-of-26 for the AMCats.
-Nichols won 19 of the game's 25 face-offs (76 percent).
-The Bison outscored the AMCats 6-0 in the second period and led 8-2 at halftime.

-Freshman Paul Schwartz (Staten Island, N.Y.) made 23 saves.
