Today's contest marked the seventh all-time meeting between Mitchell College and Nichols College. The Bison have won three-straight and lead the all-time series, 6-1.
 
Quick Synopsis
Sophomore MacKenzie Martin (Merrimack, N.H.) scored a career-high six goals to propel the Nichols College men's lacrosse team to a 15-10 win at Mitchell College in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon At Alumni Field.
 
Martin also added two assists and junior Tyler Sikich (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) picked up a hat trick as the Bison (2-4) collected their second win of the season. Senior Brian Hancock (Groton, Mass.) dished out four assists while classmate Anthony Verville (Portland, Maine) potted two goals.
 
Freshman Jacob Setzko (Farmington, Conn.) scored a team-high four goals for the Mariners (1-3).
 
Inside the Game
-Junior Kevin D'Angelo (Pelham, N.H.) won 26 of the game's 27 face-offs for Nichols. On the season, D'Angelo has won 91 of the 127 draws he has taken (.71.7 pct.).
-The Bison outshot the Mariners 54-50 – including 23-4 in a third period which saw them outscore the home team 7-2.
 
On the Bison
-Nichols scored a pair of man-up goals – one by Martin to open the second-half scoring and another by Hancock in the fourth.
-Junior Matt Feigenblat (Shelton, Conn.) tallied a goal and an assist.
-Sophomore James Keane (Franklin, Mass.) turned aside four shots in the first half before being replaced by freshman Brian McKinley (Nashua, N.H.) at the start of the thid. He made six saves to earn is second win of the season.
-Sikich led all student-athletes with 10 ground balls.
 
About the Opponent
-Freshman Owen Lapointe (Farmington, Conn.) (2-1-3) and junior McCarthy Bordaski (East Lyme, Conn.) (1-2-3) each notched three-point games.
-Seniors Dan DiGioia (Glen Ridge, N.J.) and Aaron Sladyk (South Windsor, Conn.) each went for a goal and an assist.
-Sophomore Brian Jordan (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) picked up a team-high five ground balls.
-Junior JD LeMay (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) made 23 saves in defeat.
