Three errors prove costly in 7-2 loss to Stars

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Junior Christina Drake (Lebanon, N.H.) went 2-for-3 with two RBI in Nichols College's 7-2 loss to Dominican (IL) College Saturday morning at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at the CenturyLink Sports Complex.

Sophomore Kendall Meehan (Danvers, Mass.) also had two hits and allowed 12 hits and seven runs (three earned) over seven innings to fall to 1-1 on the season. The Stars (8-4) scored two unearned in the fifth to break a 2-2 tie and move in front 4-2. In the seventh, they tacked on two more unearned runs to extend the lead to 7-2.

The Bison (1-2) play UMass Dartmouth at 1 p.m. at the CenturyLink Sports Complex.
