MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Nichols College women's ice hockey team fell to Saint Anselm 14-0 in New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) action Saturday afternoon at Sullivan Arena.

The 14 goals for the Hawks is the most goals allowed by the Bison in program history – besting the previous record of 11 goals by Holy Cross in 2008.

It also marks the most goals scored in a game by a Saint Anselm team in program history. The previous best was 12 goals against New England College in 2014.

The Hawks had 11 different student-athletes score goals while senior Alex Starzyk (Enfield, Conn.), junior Paige Gorecki (Homer Glen, Ill.), and sophomore Maura Kieft (Littleton, Colo.) each had a pair of goals. St. Anselm outshot the Bison 60-4 for the game.

Emily Wood (Wakefield, Mass.), and
Kelly Downey (Waltham, Mass.) along with freshman
Rachel Maselli (Burlington, Conn.) had shots for the Bison.

Sophomore
Cassandra Goyette (Norton, Mass.) started in goal for the Bison and stopped 25 shots over 32:14 minutes of action. Junior
Lindsay O'Connell (Danvers, Mass.) closed the game out and made 21 saves for the Bison. Sophomore Maddie Scavotto (East Falmouth, Mass.) had four saves in the win.
