PINE MANOR, N.Y. – Senior
Sean Swansen (Salem, N.H.) scored his third goal of the season in Nichols Colleges 4-1 loss to Elmira College Saturday night at the Murray Athletic Center.
Freshman
Justin Tiso (Suffern, N.Y.) collected the primary assist on the goal as the Bison allowed three third-period goals and suffered their second defeat of the season.
Freshman Connor Powell (Merrimack, N.H.) recorded a goal and an assist for Elmira while sophomore Kenny Tencza (Naples, Fla.) collected a pair of helpers. Freshman Parker Butler (Summit, N.J.) recorded 30 saves to earn the win.
Swansen opened the scoring at 11:20 of the first period before freshman Nick Ford (New Lenox, Ill.) scored a power play goal at 19:24 of the second to the send the game into the second intermission tied at one.
Powell scored what proved to be the game-winner 8:18 into the third on the PP. Freshman Eric Bolden (Oswego, Ill.) made it 3-1 at 12:14 before the Soaring Eagles added an empty-netter at 17:55.
