Box Score QUINCY, Mass. – The Nichols College men's soccer team defeated Eastern Nazarene 3-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Friday evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Bison outshot the Lions 23-19 for the game – including 14-11 in the first half.

Senior captain
Tyler Brenner (Stuart, Fla.) scored a goal and assisted on another to lead the Bison to their first conference win in their last four games (1-2-1). Classmate
Mike Kelley (Braintree, Mass.) and sophomore
William Aldrich (Belchertown, Mass.) also added goals for Nichols.

Brenner got the scoring started when he nailed a shot from outside the 18 at 8:33 of the first half. The goal is his second of the year.

In the 35th minute, Brenner added an assist as he crossed the ball from the endline and found an unmarked Kelley who drove it home. The Bison led 2-0 at the break.

Aldrich scored the third goal of the game for the Bison just 3:22 into the second half on a long-range shot. The goal ties Aldrich with classmate
Gregory Giglio (Deer Park, N.Y.) for second on the team behind freshman
Chris Noga (Belchertown, Mass.) with four.

Noga had a game-high six shots while Aldrich chipped in with five. Junior Andrew Nelson (Burtonsville, Md.) paced the Lions with four shots.

Sophomore
Patrick Porpora (Westminster, Mass.) moved to 5-4-1 after registering six saves in the shutout. Freshman Victor Mendoza (Cathedral, Calif.) made nine saves in the loss.
