NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Nichols College volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions to Coast Guard and Anna Maria College Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Bears scored wins of 25-11, 25-12, and 25-15 to secure the win. Freshman
J'ena Baker (Rockledge, Fla.) led the Bison with eight kills against the Bears while sophomore
Sabrina Boermeester (Billerica, Mass.) tallied six. Freshman
Megan Gardner (South Deerfield, Mass.) notched 26 assists and freshman
Jayla Simmons (Rockledge, Fla.) posted 11 digs. Baker picked up 10 digs.

Against the AMCats – who won 25-17, 25-15, and 25-22 – Baker again paced the team with 11 kills while Boermeester notched seven. Simmons topped the team with 13 digs while Baker had eight and Gardner had six to go along with 16 assists.
