A yellow card given out to senior captain Patrick DeRosa (Lynnfield, Mass.) at 30:17 perhaps swayed some momentum as Al Khalifa came away with a goal just minutes later.

- The Gulls outshot the Bison heavily however only held an 8-6 lead in shots on goal.
- Junior David Melanson (Simsbury, Conn.) led the Bison with three shots while sophomore Paul Sickinger (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and senior Ryan Nunn (Old Lyme, Conn.) each had two.
