BEVERLY, Mass. – Senior
Erica Antonison (Albertson, N.Y.) scored a team-high three goals as the Nichols College women's lacrosse team fell to Endicott 13-10 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Endicott Stadium.
Senior
Alyssa Bufis (Linden, N.J.), sophomore
Brooke Marion (South Hadley, Mass.), and freshman
Lindsay O'Connell (Danvers, Mass.) each scored two goals as the Bison dropped to 4-8 on the season and 2-4 within the CCC.
The Gulls (8-4, 4-1 CCC) were paced by sophomore Emily Whitney (Rye, N.H.) with five goals while senior Ellie Clayman (Beverly, Mass.) had three and freshman Erin McCarthy (Old Lyme, Conn.) had two.
The Bison trailed 4-1 after the first 10 minutes of the first half before scoring the next five goals to have a 6-4 lead with 13:48 to go in the half. Endicott closed the half on a four goal run and kept the lead the rest of the way.
Sophomore
Katherine Cotton (Kennebunk, Maine) took the loss after making seven saves. Sophomore Maura Grady (Marblehead, Mass.) made 10 saves in the win.
The Bison play at Emmanuel (MA) on Monday at 7:00 p.m. The Gulls play at Gordon on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
