Quotes"I'm pretty happy. These overtime wins are hard on the heart and the emotions sometimes, but the guys fought hard and we'll take it. There's obviously a lot to work on. We're still trying to clean up some things and settle pucks down. We get a lot of opportunities and a lot of open looks. We have to do a better job finishing so that it's not so tight in the end." – Nichols head coach
Parker Burgess.
Â
"We tried to settle into the game. They're well-coached and are going to be good for a lot of years. They play the game the right way. They blocked a lot of shots. When you have a veteran team like we do, it's not really coming from the coaches. It's coming from the leaders, to settle guys down. Early in the second period, we made a few plays on our backhand. We were just throwing the puck instead of trying to make a hockey play. Once we tried to hit the guy through the seam and make tape-to-tape passes and supported the puck a little bit better, we had more success." –Burgess, on countering Endicott's physical play early on
Â
"That's what you need from your senior leaders, regardless of whether he has a letter on his jersey or not. He puts a lot of pressure on himself to do a good job and contribute. In the past, he's been a PK guy and a hard-worker, but we've challenged him this year and he's challenged himself to take more of an offensive role as well. He's a hard-working kid and when you do things the right way, you usually get results." – Burgess, on the play of
Daniel BufisÂ
