Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Nichols College men's soccer team played to a scoreless tie with Springfield College Saturday afternoon at Brock-Affleck Field.
Senior captain
Jeremy Nash (West Springfield, Mass.) stopped all five shots on goal and has now gone 200 minutes without allowing a goal this season. Junior Billy Schmid (Wethersfield, Conn.) had two saves for the Pride in the draw.
Nichols (2-0-1) was led by freshman
Rielee Mohsin (Stuart, Fla.) with two shots while sophomore
Mike Kelley (Braintree, Mass.) and freshman
Paul Sickenger (Tyngsboro, Mass.) had the only other two shots for the Bison.
Senior Drew Sommer (West Chester, Pa.) led Springfield (1-0-1) with three shots while his classmate Ryan Malone (Chicopee, Mass.) added two.
The Bison recorded a pair of scoreless ties last season (Daniel Webster & Curry).Nichols plays at Becker Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. The Pride host Elms College Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
