Kate Porter (Marlborough, Mass.) scored her first two goals of the season in Nichols College's 17-3 win over Framingham State University Thursday night in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Vendetti Field.

Brooke Marion (South Hadley, Mass.) each potted two goals for Nichols, which outshot the Rams 53-9.
Freshman Jessica Graham (Woburn, Mas.) scored twice for Framingham State while classmate Amy Rotger (Revere, Mass.) also found the back of the net. Sophomore goalie Alysha Cericola (Waltham, Mass.) finished the contest with 16 saves.
Nichols scored the first six goals of the contest and led 8-2 at the break behind two goals from both Antonison and Hohmann. The Bison reeled off five-straight to open the second half – including a pair from Bufis – and closed the game with four unanswered markers.
"Our goal tonight was to play for and keep our intensity through 60 minutes," said Nichols head coach
Damir Pesa. "We achieved that goal tonight. We also wanted to get above the .500 mark heading into Saturday's big conference game. The girls played well and enjoyed themselves, and it produced a win."
The Bison forced 42 turnovers as Murphy and Aminti each caused five. Murphy also led the squad with seven ground balls. Freshman
Katherine Cotton (Kennebunk, Maine) made four saves to earn her fifth win of the season.
Freshman Brianna Alimonti (Revere, Mass.) collected a game-high six ground balls for the visitors.
The Bison host Wentworth Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The Rams (1-4) travel to Salem State for a 6 p.m. game on Saturday.
