Junior Kaitlynn Stevens (Stratford, Conn.) and senior Kelsey Sherman (Buchanan, N.Y.) each scored five goals for the Golden Bears (10-0, 3-0 CCC). Sophomore Kelsey Armstrong (Groton, Conn.) recorded four goals and two assists while sophomore Taylor Scialdone (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) collected a game-high seven ground balls.
WNE outshot Nichols 40-18 and held a 42-26 edge in ground balls. Junior Emily Castleman (Wilbraham, Mass.) made five saves to earn the win. Nichols freshman

The Bison fell behind 5-0 and trailed 14-3 at halftime. Western New England opened the second half by scoring six of the first seven goals to move ahead 19-5 midway through the stanza.
Nichols hosts Framingham State Thursday at 7 p.m. The Golden Bears play at Salve Regina Saturday at noon.
