VIRGINA BEACH, Va. – Senior Zac Smith (Norton, Mass.) and junior Michael Bane (North Grafton, Mass.) each scored three goals in Nichols College's 12-8 loss to New England College in non-conference men's lacrosse action Tuesday evening.

Senior Brian Girard (Norwood, Mass.) and junior Corey Davis (Billerica, Mass.) also scored for the Bison (2-3), who received 12 saves from freshman goalie Rob Belger (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.).

Senior Adam Shute (Calgary, Alberta) scored five goals to pace New England College.

Nichols plays Centenary (NJ) Thursday at 7 p.m. The Pilgrims (2-1) play Washington & Jefferson College Thursday at 5 p.m.
