BEVERLY, Mass. (4/30/2026) – The Conference of New England announced its 2026 Men's Lacrosse postseason awards and All-Conference teams, recognizing two student-athletes from Nichols College.
Senior
Conor Doherty and senior
Travis Arnold earned All-CNE Second and Third Team honors, respectively. Doherty secured his second career All-Conference selection after previously earning Third Team honors in 2024, while Arnold collected his first All-Conference recognition following a historic season at the faceoff position.
Doherty ranked 10th in the conference in goals per game (2.11), finishing with 38 goals and 17 assists for a team-leading 55 points. He started all 18 games for the Bison, leading the team in goals, assists, and points. Doherty delivered several standout performances throughout the season, including a five-goal, two-assist effort against Gordon College where he eclipsed the 100-career point milestone. He also turned in a seven-goal performance against Johnson & Wales, falling just one shy of the program's single-game record. In addition to his offensive production, Doherty added 23 ground balls and remained the focal point of the Nichols attack. He was also named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Team of the Week following his seven-goal performance for the week of March 30.
Arnold delivered one of the most dominant seasons at the faceoff X in program history, ranking second in the conference in ground balls per game (7.83) with 141 total, while leading the CNE in total ground balls. He also posted a .616 faceoff win percentage, good for fifth in the conference. Appearing in all 18 games, Arnold went 244-for-396 at the faceoff spot and was a driving force in Nichols' possession game and the leader in the CNE. He earned CNE Faceoff Specialist of the Week honors on March 2 and went on to break the program's all-time career faceoff wins record, finishing with 611. His 14-ground ball performance against Curry set a single-game program record and helped him establish new program records for ground balls in a game, season, and career.
In addition to the All-Conference selections, sophomore
Jackson Hernandez was named to the CNE Community Service Team.
