SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Junior Sarah Whitestone (Dalton, Mass.) recorded seven saves in Nichols College's 1-0 loss at Western New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's soccer Saturday afternoon at Suprenant Field.
Freshman Brionna Voight scored the only goal the Golden Bears defense needed as they improved to 6-3-1 overall (1-1-1 CCC). The loss moves Nichols to 5-6-0 (0-3-0 CCC). The Bison were outshot 19-3.
Led by senior co-captain Amanda Waluszkon and sophomores Erica Parlavecchio, Danielle Savoie, and Jessica Burke, Western New England yielded just three shots and kept the Bison out of the goal area the entire afternoon.
