DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols College Director of Athletics
Charlyn Robert has announced the addition of
Ashley Stambolis and Annie Lasek to the Athletic Training staff. Stambolis will serve as an assistant athletic trainer while Lasek is a graduate assistant.
Stambolis (above, right) comes to Dudley by way of Denison University, where she has worked as an assistant athletic trainer since 2010. She provided primary coverage for football, women's basketball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's swimming & diving, baseball, and women's lacrosse. Stambolis was a certified clinical instructor and guest lecturer at Denison, as well as its primary caregiver responsible for pre-participation physical exams, day-to-day treatments, injury evaluations, rehabilitation, and doctor's appointment scheduling.
A Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Stambolis is also an Ohio Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) who also holds certification for CPR/AED/First Aid for Professional Rescuers. Stambolis earned her Bachelor of Science in athletic training from the University of Maine in 2008 and her Masters of Art and Education from Heidelberg University in 2010. At Nichols, she will serve as the primary contact for the football team, as well as several of the college's other Division III programs.
Lasek (above, left), meanwhile, spent the past two years as an assistant athletic trainer at nearby Wellesley College, where she provided primary coverage for women's volleyball, cross country, golf, squash, and track & field. A member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA), Lasek is a Certified Athletic Trainer who holds a Massachusetts State License and is certified in American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. She was a Dean's List student at Springfield College, which she graduated from in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training.
“I am very excited to be able to add two athletic trainers the caliber of Ashley and Annie to our staff,” said head athletic trainer Jenna McDonald. “Nichols is very proud to offer 19 varsity sports, and bringing these two talented individuals aboard will help enhance the student-athlete experience for each and every one of them by ensuring they receive the very best care.”
