FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Nichols College baseball team completed an 11-game slate at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic on Friday. The Bison were blanked by Wooster, 7-0, on Thursday before taking Minnesota-Morris to extras for a 7-6 victory and ending the trip with a 13-8 setback to the Cougars on Friday.

Kyle Russell (W. Yarmouth, Mass.) batted 2-for-3 and
John Micciche (Holbrook, Mass.) went 2-for-4 at the plate. Sophomore
Collin Geagan (Watertown, Mass.) fell to 0-2 on the season as he surrendered six runs – two earned – on six hits and struck out six batters in six innings of work. Senior
Ray Curto (Braintree, Mass.) allowed one run on one hit and struck out two in the final two innings for the Bison.

James Curto (Braintree, Mass.) evened his record at 1-1 as he pitched a hitless final two frames with a pair of punch-outs in relief.
